Feliz Navidad!

Friday night was Dad and Mom's branch Christmas party. Dad played Santa. The boys weren't too sure about that! Jace took a minute to warm up to him and I think the other two felt a little disappointed...they wanted the "real Santa". It was still fun to see Dad all dressed up. Feliz Navidad Dad! 4 more days!

We had snow dumped on us! At about 10:30 am yesterday the school was calling me to come pick up the boys from school. Linc also came home early. We took advantage of our time and took the boys sledding with some good friends. After sledding we headed over to their house for burgers and coco. Around 7:00pm we went to head home and we were stuck. Our friends were nice enough to let us stay. We had a huge slumber party...the boys had a blast. On the radio we heard no school today either. So, Our Winter Break has officially begun. We headed out early and went sledding again. What a fun time everyone had. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas. So fun! 7 more days!

A White Christmas!

We were sad when we woke up and snow had not come as promised. Then as we stepped out the door to head off to school the snow began to fall. Now the snow is coming down in big flakes and Jace had to run and play in it. He wasn't sure what to do at first. He looked up and giggled as the snow fell on his face. Then he realized it tasted kinda good. He went from one nasty slide to the next and kept eating it saying," Mom it's sooo good!" We can't wait for everyone to come home so we can all play in it together.

9 days to go!

We have been very busy! Mannie went and sang with some other 2nd graders to some people in a retirement home early Saturday morning. We had our ward Christmas Party, then that night went to see the lights at The Mission Inn. We took Dad, Mom, and Char out for thier birthday dinner. Grandpa came along too. After, we walked around and enjoyed the lights.
Sunday we had our family home evening on the symbol of a Christmas bell. We learned how Jesus is our Shepherd and played hide the bell. We even made our own little sheep out of our hand prints. I baked up treats today and we delivered them and went caroling. The boys had a lot of fun. We are counting down! Can't wait!

18 More Days!

Friday we had an indoor picnic. Jace came in his best attire as you can see (his favorite outfit). Then we searched the library for Christmas books to read later in the week. Yesterday, I counted down laying down. I was so sick! Linc took the boys to two of the boys' good friends baptisms. What a cool way to count down to Christmas! The boys were able to see one of the many gifts we can receive from our Heavenly Father. 18 more days boys!

21 days til' Christmas!

Yesterday the boys painted snowflake ornaments shirtless. We don't want any paint on clothes, right? We also did Christmas Interviews. The boys love to be in front of the video camera!

Today we took family pictures. This picture makes me laugh! First we have Linc who is so patient. Jace is being all cuddly with Mannie and then poor little Ty is trying to help me get up on the rock. The things we'll do for a stinkin' family picture. We actually got some really cute shots. Our favorite will be featured in our Christmas cards. After pictures we all went out to have ice cream in celebration of 21 days til Christmas...

Christmas Advent

We are counting down to Christmas! Only 22 more days! The boys can't wait. Last night we watched "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" and had some festive caramel corn with m&ms. So yummy! Mannie lost an eye in this pic! I just noticed...oops!

Thanksgiving

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! We spent Thanksgiving down at my mom's house. Through out the month we made sure the boys really thought about how blessed they were. We had family home evenings were we talked about being thankful. They say they are all grateful for eachother and sometimes I wonder!
I have so much to be thankful for. As I ponder this each year I realize how blessed I truly am. I have been blessed with a loving husband and his family who loves me as thier own. I have a family that I will be with forever. I have the Priesthood in my life that guides and protects our family everyday. I have a knowledge of who I am...a daughter of God. I have healthy children who are so happy and very forgiving. I have a Savior...I would never make it without him.

Ty brought home a placemat and hats from school so he was quite festive at the Turkey Table.

Mannie woke all of us up early Thanksgiving day. He had a box filled with all the things he was grateful for that he could only open and read on Thanksgiving day. Some of my favorite ones: teachers, beautiful schools, God, books, and freedom.

Our little family...what a blessing!

Here's Dad picking at the Turkey...he had the first bite!

Jace sneaking in potaoes before the prayer.
Christmas here we come! We can't wait.
