Thanks so much for sharing your idea! We have those exact same stocking hangers, except ours say "JOY". Well, last year we added another member to our family and I just hate having to buy another set of stocking hangers, because I want them all to match. And I have NO idea how many kids we are going to have, so it seemed like I was going to be forever buying new stocking holders every couple of years. Thanks for the idea, now I can just buy 1 new one this year.
This year I bought our first set of stocking holders. They are just like your SANTA ones with the weights in them (except no SANTA) They are just a blank base. I bought them with the intent of adding "Something" to them I just didn't know what. I thought about frames and seeing your post makes me want to go that route even more. Thanks
I love this idea because family's expand but you can't always find a matching stocking holder. Now, I can use my ugly old dollar store ones and make them cute and it won't matter if we expand because I can make more!!
That is so COOL! I have the EXACT same stocking holders too! I want to try it NOW!! Thank you for the GREAT idea!
I'll be having a post up every Thursday (called Thursday's Treasures), for bloggers' crafts they've done or crafty idea they have, if you'd like to participate go here: http://treasuresfortots.blogspot.com/2009/12/thursdays-treasures.html
This idea is fantastic! The store bought stocking holders are so expensive! and half the time they don't hold very well. I love this idea and I'm gonna make these for next Christmas! Yah thanks for sharing.
